Solar inspection software for drone service providers: client-ready reports under your brand

MapperX analyzes thermal and RGB drone imagery with AI, detects anomalies at module level and generates IEC 62446-3 reports with your own logo, so your team spends its time on the plant instead of on the document.

  • Credit-based annual plans
Your business

From the flight to the deliverable your client pays for

An inspection company is judged on the report, not on the flight.

Most of the effort in a drone inspection project goes into sorting images, transcribing findings and formatting the document. MapperX covers the step between capture and delivery: imagery is analyzed, anomalies are classified and tied to a module and a map position, and the report is generated from the analyzed campaign data. Your engineers review and decide; the platform does the assembly.

What you get

Built for teams that inspect plants for other people

Each capability below maps to a step in a service delivery workflow.

AI analysis of thermal and RGB imagery

Drone imagery is analyzed autonomously to flag and classify thermal anomalies at module level. DeltaT is calculated for each module and flagged panels are ranked by severity, which supports consistent review across inspectors.

White-label IEC 62446-3 reports

Reports are generated from the analyzed campaign data and carry your own company details and logo. There is no per report charge and no cap on how many you produce.

A digital twin for every client plant

Build the plant model once, number strings and panels in your own format, and let each campaign update it. Repeat inspections stay comparable and the client inherits a documented plant, not a folder of PDFs.

Access per plant and per task

Authorize members per plant and task, so a subcontractor sees only the site assigned to them. Each state change is attributable to a person, which keeps the audit trail meaningful.

Serial numbers captured on site

Scan panel and inverter serial numbers with a phone camera, with no extra hardware, and export the full set to Excel in whatever selection the recipient needs.

Credit-based pricing across clients

Credits are bought as an annual plan and can be used across plants, projects and customers, so cost follows the work you actually analyze.

Workflow

How an inspection project runs in MapperX

Four steps from the field to the client.

  1. 1. Fly and capture

A compatible DJI thermal drone records paired thermal and RGB imagery of the plant. The RGB layer helps your reviewers tell a physical defect from a thermal artifact.

  2. 2. Analyze automatically

MapperX detects and classifies anomalies, calculates DeltaT for each module and ranks findings by severity. Weather data for the campaign is retrieved automatically.

  3. 3. Review and filter

Your engineers verify the findings and filter by plant, campaign, anomaly class, severity or string, so the owner receives the summary and the maintenance contractor receives the module level work list.

  4. 4. Export and deliver

Generate the report with your own logo from the same dataset. Re-issuing it after a repair, or splitting one campaign across several stakeholders, costs nothing but the export.

Outdoor PV thermography under IEC 62446-3

IEC 62446-3 is the technical specification for outdoor infrared thermography of photovoltaic modules and plants. MapperX is an accredited inspection body (ISO/IEC 17020) for thermographic inspection of PV plants under IEC 62446-3. The inspections and reports we deliver with the MapperX platform are issued within this accredited scope.

All FAQs
  • Can we put our own logo on the reports?

Yes. Reports carry your own company details and logo, which matters when you deliver to your own clients. You can filter by plant, campaign, anomaly class, severity or string before exporting.

  • Which drones does MapperX work with?

MapperX works with DJI thermal drones: DJI Mavic 3T, DJI Matrice 30T, DJI Matrice 4T, DJI Matrice 300 RTK, DJI Matrice 350 RTK, and DJI Matrice 400 RTK, with the Zenmuse H20T, Zenmuse H20N, and Zenmuse H30T thermal payloads.

  • Does using MapperX make an inspection compliant with IEC 62446-3?

No. MapperX organizes thermographic evidence and its report structure supports IEC 62446-3, but the inspection conditions, the documented evidence and qualified review determine whether a specific inspection meets the applicable requirements.

  • How is MapperX priced for a service company?

Pricing is a credit-based annual plan. Credits can be used across plants, projects and customers, and capacity figures are budgeting estimates, not fixed per-panel charges. See the pricing page and confirm the applicable analysis rate before purchase.

  • Can we deliver reports in our client's language?

The platform interface and PDF outputs are available in 11 languages, so a report can match the language of the party receiving it.

  • Can a subcontractor or client see only their own plant?

Access is granted per plant and per task. A subcontractor sees only the site and work assigned to them, while the owner keeps the portfolio view.
